Our Humble Beginnings

General Equipment Corporation Of Illinois was founded in 1976 by Elrod “Al” Swanson and his 2 sons Alan and Don. The main focus of our family-owned and operated business was originally on baler and compactor sales, services, and repair.

Soon after, we expanded to include “conveyors & loading dock equipment”. We can also perform various on site welding repairs.

As our business grew, so did our staff. We currently have 5 employees, including 3 experienced service technicians, each having over 25 years of on-the-job experience with our company and in the field. We also have an assistant service technician or delivery driver.
