Our Humble Beginnings
General Equipment Corporation Of Illinois is founded in 1976 by Elrod "Al" Swanson and his 2 sons Alan and Don. The main focus of our family-owned and operated business was originally on baler and compactor sales, services, and repair.
Soon after, we expanded to include all types of conveyors and dock equipment too. We now weld cart corrals as well as repair security gates and fencing enclosures.
We're the representative for Lawrence Metal Products in our area selling Hospitality Products and Crowd Control Products.
As our business grew, so did our staff. We currently have 7 employees, including 3 experienced service technicians, each having over 25 years of on-the-job experience with our company and in the field. We also have an assistant service technician or delivery driver.
